A jewellery website is not an online store in the usual sense. Most purchases above a few thousand rupees still happen across the counter, after the buyer has shortlisted pieces online, checked the gold rate and read about hallmarking. The Jewellery template is an editorial catalogue with the information a serious buyer wants, weight, purity, making charges, stone details, and a direct route to a showroom visit or a WhatsApp conversation with your staff.
It is the template behind the jewellers solution page, which covers the catalogue import, festival calendar and multi-showroom management in depth.
What's in this template.
Hero with the gold rate
Buyers check the day's 22K rate before anything else. The hero shows your displayed rate, updated from the dashboard each morning, next to a showroom appointment button. It signals that prices here are transparent.
Collections by occasion
Bridal, daily wear, festive, gifting, men's, by metal and by price band. The browsing logic mirrors how families shop for a wedding: by purpose and budget, not by SKU number.
Piece detail pages
Each piece lists gross and net weight, purity, making charges or wastage, stone weight and certification where applicable. Price can be shown, hidden with "request quote", or calculated from the live rate.
Hallmark and buy-back policy
BIS hallmarking with the six-digit HUID has been mandatory on gold jewellery since 2021 in phases; stating your hallmark practice and buy-back or exchange terms plainly removes the buyer's biggest fear.
Showroom and home viewing
A WhatsApp link that carries the shortlisted pieces, preferred date and a home-viewing option for high-value purchases. This is where the website hands over to your sales team.
Story and craftsmanship
Third-generation, Rajkot karigars, temple jewellery lineage. Provenance is what separates a family jeweller from a mall chain, and buyers read it.
Compliance footer
GSTIN, BIS registration number, showroom addresses and hours, and the note that prices exclude GST where applicable.
Built-in conversion features.
WhatsApp with shortlist
The appointment button sends the piece codes the buyer shortlisted, so your floor staff has the pieces ready when the family walks in.
UPI advance and token
For custom orders and holds, a UPI QR for the token amount, with terms shown beside it. Large payments still happen in-store with proper invoicing.
Google Maps per showroom
One pin per showroom, synced with each Business Profile, with parking and floor information for big-market locations.
GST and BIS footer
GSTIN and BIS registration displayed, which buyers increasingly check before a visit after years of hallmarking awareness campaigns.
Click-to-call
The rate question and the "do you have it in 18K?" question still come by phone; the call button is sticky on mobile.
Festival campaign slot
A scheduled banner for Akshaya Tritiya, Dhanteras and wedding season offers, with the collection it links to, set up weeks in advance.
Customise in plain English.
Edits are typed into the dashboard in plain English. Jewellery staff typically send these at opening time:
The catalogue also exports as a PDF lookbook and syncs the featured collection to your Google Business Profile posts.
₹249 a month, domain included.
The Jewellery template is included in every plan. Starter at ₹249 a month covers the template, a free domain, hosting, SSL, Google Business setup and SEO. Jewellers have told us they paid ₹80,000 to ₹1.5 lakh for catalogue sites that went stale within a year because updating meant calling the agency; here the catalogue is updated by whoever is at the counter. Multi-showroom features are on the Growth plan. See pricing and the jewellery website guide.
Two businesses, two cities.
Laxmee Jewellers, Johari Bazaar
A third-generation family jeweller known for kundan and polki. The template's collections by occasion and the WhatsApp shortlist meant wedding families from Delhi arrived with pieces already chosen. The gold-rate hero and hallmark policy page answered the trust questions, and the site now ranks for the family name and for polki queries in the city.
Sundari Designs, T. Nagar
A temple-jewellery specialist in the busiest jewellery district in the south. The Tamil and English versions of the catalogue run as separate indexed pages, the home-viewing option is used for high-value bridal sets, and the Dhanteras and Pongal banners are scheduled a month ahead instead of being designed in a panic the week before.
Jewellery template questions
Should a jeweller show prices on the website?
It depends on the piece and your selling style. The template supports three modes per piece: show the full price, show a price calculated from today's rate plus making charges, or hide the price behind "request quote". Many jewellers show prices for daily-wear and gifting pieces to build trust and hide them for bridal sets to drive showroom visits.
Can the site show a live gold rate?
Yes. You set your displayed 22K and 18K rates each morning from the dashboard in one line, and every calculated price on the catalogue updates. Jewellers prefer setting their own rate to an automated feed because the displayed rate is the rate they sell at.
How does the catalogue get populated?
Upload a CSV or spreadsheet with piece code, photo, weight, purity, making charges and stone details, or add pieces one at a time from your phone. Bulk updates such as marking a collection sold out are a single instruction.
Is hallmarking information required on the website?
Not required by law on a website, but BIS hallmarking with HUID is mandatory on the gold jewellery itself in most of India, and buyers look for a hallmark statement before visiting. The template includes a hallmark and buy-back policy block for exactly this reason.
Can I sell jewellery online through the template?
Yes, for lower-value pieces. The Growth plan adds a checkout with Razorpay for silver, gifting and daily-wear ranges. For high-value gold, most jewellers keep the website as a catalogue and close in the showroom, which is what the appointment flow is built for.
Does the template handle multiple showrooms?
Yes. Each showroom has its own address, Maps pin, hours and Google Business Profile sync, managed from one dashboard. Campaigns can be chain-wide or per showroom. Multi-location management is on the Growth plan.
