Cafe website template (India)

People pick a cafe for the place, then the coffee, then the price. This template leads with ambience, keeps the menu short, and tells remote workers about the Wi-Fi and plug points before they ask.

Cafe template
Third Wave Corner
Ambience + menu + Instagram + hours
Page structure, top to bottom
  1. 01 Hero: the space, hours today, "Find us"
  2. 02 Ambience gallery
  3. 03 Short menu: coffee, bakes, all-day
  4. 04 Work-from-cafe note: Wi-Fi, plugs, quiet hours
  5. 05 Events and open mics
  6. 06 Instagram feed and reviews
  7. 07 Footer: FSSAI, GSTIN, UPI, Maps

A cafe is chosen differently from a restaurant. The search is "cafe near me to work from", "cafes in Koregaon Park", "rooftop cafe Jaipur", and the decision is made from photos and hours, not from a thirty-item menu. The Cafe template leads with a gallery of the space, a concise menu with prices, the hours and a line about Wi-Fi, seating and power, then Instagram, where most cafe discovery actually happens.

It suits coffee shops, dessert cafes, bookshop cafes and co-working cafes. For a full-service restaurant with reservations, use the restaurant template; the cafes solution page covers Google and Instagram for cafes in more depth.

Sections

What's in this template.

Hero with hours today

A photo of the space with today's hours and an Open or Closed badge. Cafes change hours often; the badge pulls from your Google Business hours so it is always right.

Ambience gallery

Six to ten photos of seating, light, the counter and the signature pour. This block is the decision; the menu is confirmation.

Short menu

Coffee, tea, bakes and a few all-day plates with prices. A cafe menu longer than a screen reads as a restaurant; keep it to what you are known for.

Work-from-cafe note

Wi-Fi speed, plug points, laptop-friendly hours and any minimum order. Remote workers search for exactly this and become weekday regulars.

Events block

Open mics, book clubs, Sunday jazz, workshops. Dated entries that keep the page fresh and give you a reason to post.

Instagram and reviews

Your Instagram grid refreshes the site without effort; Google reviews beside it serve the people who found you on Maps.

Compliance footer

FSSAI number, GSTIN, UPI ID and the Maps pin, which is all a cafe needs legally on the site.

Conversion

Built-in conversion features.

◆

WhatsApp takeaway orders

A pre-filled "I would like to order __ for pickup at __" message. Simple, no app, no commission.

◆

UPI at the counter and online

Your UPI QR on the site and the same on the counter card, so a pre-order and a walk-in pay the same way.

◆

Google Maps and lane note

Cafes hide in lanes. The map pin plus a "lane behind the bank, look for the blue door" line fixes the last fifty metres.

◆

FSSAI and GST footer

Both numbers displayed; corporate workshop bookings will ask for an invoice.

◆

Click-to-call

For group bookings and "are you open on Monday?" calls, the button is sticky on mobile.

◆

Seasonal strip

A dated strip for monsoon specials, Christmas menus or a new single-origin that expires on its own.

Editing

Customise in plain English.

Edits are typed into the dashboard, often from behind the counter:

Closed on Monday this week, open Tuesday 8 am
Add "Vietnamese cold brew ₹240" to the coffee list
Add open mic on Saturday 7 pm, entry ₹100
Replace the hero with the new window seating photo

Hours edits update the hero badge and your Google Business Profile at once, which matters more for cafes than for most businesses.

Pricing

₹249 a month, domain included.

The Cafe template is included in every plan. Starter at ₹249 a month covers the template, a free domain, hosting, SSL, Google Business setup and SEO. A cafe rarely needs more than this: the site is a fast, findable page that confirms what Instagram promised. See pricing and the restaurant website guide for the shared menu and photo advice.

In practice

Two businesses, two cities.

Pune

Third Wave Corner, Koregaon Park

A speciality coffee bar that was discovered almost entirely on Instagram. The template's work-from-cafe note (Wi-Fi speed, plug points, laptop hours till 4 pm) started ranking for cafe-to-work-from searches within weeks, and the hours badge synced with Google ended the Monday-closed confusion that had generated a dozen one-star reviews.

Nagpur

Chai Pe Charcha, Civil Lines

A tea and snacks cafe with a student crowd. The short menu with prices, the events block for Friday quizzes, and a Marathi and English site brought in a search audience the Instagram page never reached. UPI pre-orders for pickup grew during exam season.

FAQ

Cafe template questions

What is the difference between the cafe and restaurant templates?

Emphasis. The cafe template leads with ambience photos, hours and a short menu, adds a work-from-cafe block and events, and relies on Instagram. The restaurant template leads with reservations, a full sectioned menu and specials. If seating and mood sell you, use cafe; if dishes and bookings sell you, use restaurant. Both share menu, gallery and ordering blocks.

Can I take orders through the cafe website?

Yes, through WhatsApp for pickup and through Swiggy and Zomato deep links for delivery. A full cart with online payment is available on the Growth plan, though most cafes find WhatsApp plus UPI enough.

Will the hours on the site always be correct?

The hours badge reads from your Google Business Profile hours, and both are edited from the same dashboard. Change hours once and the site, Maps and Search all update. Holiday hours can be scheduled in advance.

Can I show events and open mics?

Yes. The events block takes a title, date, time and optional entry fee. Past events hide automatically and upcoming ones can be posted to your Google Business Profile with one click.

Does the template show Wi-Fi and laptop policy?

Yes. The work-from-cafe block has fields for Wi-Fi availability, plug points, laptop-friendly hours and minimum order. Cafes that state a policy clearly get fewer awkward conversations and more weekday regulars.

Can I run a dessert or bookshop cafe on this template?

Yes. The structure is the same; swap the menu categories and, for a bookshop cafe, add the events block for readings. If dessert orders by date are a big part of the business, add the bakery catalogue block with one instruction.
