Clinic websites in India have a particular constraint: the National Medical Commission's ethics rules restrict advertising and promotional claims by doctors. A clinic site therefore needs to be informational and trustworthy rather than promotional. The Clinic template is designed for that tone from the start: qualifications and registration numbers, services described plainly, timings that are accurate, and a booking path that does not over-promise.
It suits single-doctor clinics, polyclinics, dental practices, physiotherapy centres and diagnostic labs. The clinic solution page covers Google Business and patient search behaviour in more depth.
What's in this template.
Hero with today's OPD
The hero shows which doctors are sitting today and until what time. This is pulled from the timetable block, so a change to Dr. Mehta's Thursday hours updates the hero and Google Business together.
Doctor profiles
Name, degree, speciality, state medical council registration number, languages spoken. Patients check qualifications; registration numbers on the page make the check instant and signal nothing to hide.
Services and conditions
Plain descriptions of what the clinic treats: "diabetes management", "child vaccination", "root canal". No superlatives, no guaranteed outcomes, which keeps the page inside advertising rules and matches how patients search.
OPD timetable
A table by day and doctor. The single most-asked question on any clinic phone line is "is doctor there now?", and a clear table answers it before the call.
Appointment request
A WhatsApp link with patient name, doctor and preferred slot pre-filled, plus a short form for people who prefer not to use WhatsApp. Both say "request" because confirmation comes from the clinic.
Location and access
Map embed plus lift access, parking and the nearest landmark. Elderly patients and parents with prams decide on these details.
Compliance footer
Clinic registration under the state Clinical Establishments Act where applicable, GSTIN if any, and a clear line that the site does not handle emergencies, with the nearest emergency number.
Built-in conversion features.
WhatsApp appointment request
Patients send name, doctor and preferred time in one tap. Reception confirms a slot. No patient portal, no passwords, nothing to forget.
UPI for consultation fees
Where the clinic takes a fee in advance for teleconsultation or lab tests, a UPI QR sits on the services page. Optional, and hidden if unused.
Google Maps and accessibility
Map with the Business Profile pin and an access note (ground floor, lift, wheelchair ramp) that clinics on upper floors badly need.
Registration and GST footer
Clinic registration number and GSTIN where applicable, in the footer where patients and insurers look.
Click-to-call
For a clinic the call button matters more than anywhere else. It is sticky on mobile and shows the reception hours beside it.
Notice strip
A dated strip for "Dr. Sharma on leave 12 to 18 June" or "Vaccination camp Sunday" that expires automatically.
Customise in plain English.
Edits are typed into the dashboard in plain English. Clinic staff usually make these from the reception desk:
Timetable changes flow to the hero, the Google Business hours and the appointment message, so patients never see three different timings.
₹249 a month, domain included.
The Clinic template is included in every plan. Starter at ₹249 a month gives you the template, a free domain, hosting, SSL, Google Business setup and SEO. Hospital-grade practice management software is a different product and costs far more; most single-doctor and small polyclinics need a correct, fast, findable website and a working appointment path, which is what this template is. Details on the pricing page; the step-by-step build is in the clinic website guide.
Two businesses, two cities.
Dr. Mehta Clinic, Satellite
A two-doctor family clinic that used to answer "is doctor there?" forty times a day. The OPD timetable block, mirrored to Google Business hours, cut those calls by more than half, and WhatsApp appointment requests arrive with the doctor and slot already chosen. The registration numbers on the doctor profiles ended the periodic "are you MBBS?" questions.
Smile Dental Care, Velachery
A dental clinic whose patients search in Tamil and English. The template runs both languages with separate indexed pages, lists services plainly without "painless guaranteed" claims, and uses the notice strip for the Saturday orthodontic sessions. New-patient appointments now come mostly from Maps, where the synced profile shows the timings correctly.
Clinic template questions
Can a doctor legally have a website in India?
Yes. A clinic or doctor website is allowed; what the National Medical Commission ethics rules restrict is advertising, solicitation and promotional claims. The template keeps the content informational: qualifications, registration numbers, services, timings, location and how to book. Avoid superlatives, discounts and guaranteed outcomes, and you stay well within the rules. When in doubt, check the current NMC regulations or your state council.
Does the template support online appointment booking?
It supports appointment requests through WhatsApp and a form, which the clinic confirms. Automatic slot booking with a live calendar is available on the Growth plan for clinics that want it. For most small clinics, the request-and-confirm flow matches how reception already works and avoids double bookings.
Can I run a multi-doctor polyclinic on this template?
Yes. Add as many doctor profiles as you need, each with their own timetable and booking button. The hero shows who is sitting today based on the combined timetable.
Is patient data on the site secure?
The template collects only what an appointment request needs: name, phone and preferred slot. It runs on SSL and includes a privacy policy page generated for a clinic. It does not store medical records; keep those in your practice software.
Can the site be in Hindi, Tamil or Gujarati as well as English?
Yes. One click publishes each language as its own indexed page, which matters because many patients search in their own language. A clinic in Surat typically runs Gujarati and English; in Coimbatore, Tamil and English.
Does the clinic template work for dentists and physiotherapists?
Yes. Choose the speciality during setup and the service categories, schema type and wording adjust. Dentists get treatment categories; physiotherapists get condition-based services and session packages. The timetable and appointment flow are identical.
