Travel agency websites — from itinerary to booking.
A travel agent website that lists packages with real prices and inclusions, takes enquiries with dates and travellers on WhatsApp, explains GST and TCS on overseas tours, and ranks for "destination package from city". Built by Neweb for ₹249 a month.
Packages with prices and inclusions
Destination, duration, starting price per person, inclusions and exclusions, and a day-wise itinerary. The structure travellers compare on, with your margin protected by clear exclusions.
Enquiry with dates and travellers
Destination, travel dates, number of adults and children, budget range and departure city, pre-filled on WhatsApp. The first reply is a quote, not a questionnaire.
Visa, documentation and payment pages
Visa requirements by country, documents for domestic and international travel, payment schedule, UPI advance, and the GST and TCS notes that overseas travellers ask about.
Ranking by destination and departure city
A page per package and per destination with "from city" variants, TouristTrip schema and a synced Google Business Profile, so "Kashmir package from Ahmedabad" lands on you.

Travel agents compete with apps on trust, not on price
Online travel apps sell flights and hotels cheaply and anonymously. Travel agents in India survive, and often thrive, on what the apps cannot do: a group tour where someone is accountable, a honeymoon itinerary built by a person who has been there, a pilgrimage with the right timings, a visa handled without a rejected application, a family holiday where the agent is on WhatsApp when the cab does not show up. The website's job is to show that trust before the first call: real packages with real prices, the inclusions spelled out, the documents explained, the group departures listed with dates, and a way to enquire that captures what you need to quote.
Neweb builds travel agency sites around packages and enquiries, with the compliance and payment details that overseas travel has accumulated, and with destination pages that rank for the way Indians actually search: "Kerala package from Hyderabad", "Dubai 5 days 4 nights price", "Char Dham yatra package 2027", "Bali honeymoon package cost". The agent who has a fast, honest page for each of those wins the enquiry over the app and over the agent with a brochure PDF.
Packages that are honest about inclusions
A package page has a standard structure because travellers have learned to look for it: destination and duration, a starting price per person on twin sharing, the day-wise itinerary, what is included (flights or not, hotels with category, meals, transfers, sightseeing, guide), what is excluded (visa fees, travel insurance, tips, personal expenses, anything optional), the group departure dates if it is a fixed departure, and the booking and cancellation policy. Neweb's package template presents each of these and lets you clone a package for a new season or a different departure city in one instruction.
Exclusions are where agents lose trust, and inclusions are where they lose margin. Being explicit about both on the page, before the enquiry, is what makes the quote conversation short and the trip complaint-free. Pair the package with a price-validity date and a line on surcharges for peak dates, and the page does the expectation-setting that used to take three calls.
Enquiries used to be "Kashmir package?" and nothing else. Now they arrive with dates, four adults, two kids and a budget, and we quote in ten minutes.
The enquiry: dates, travellers, budget, departure city
A travel quote needs five facts: destination, dates or month, number of adults and children with ages, budget range, and the departure city. Neweb's WhatsApp button opens a chat with prompts for exactly those, so the message the agent receives can be quoted from directly. A form alternative emails the office. During peak season (summer holidays, Diwali, Christmas and New Year, long weekends), the structured enquiry is the difference between quoting thirty leads a day and quoting ten.
Advance payments run on UPI for domestic and small international bookings, with the UPI QR and ID on the booking page and a receipt generated for the traveller. For larger international bookings, agents typically take bank transfer or a payment gateway; the Growth plan adds a Razorpay link on the package page. State the payment schedule (advance on booking, balance 30 days before departure) on the page and in the receipt, and cancellation terms with it.
Visa, documentation, GST and TCS: the pages travellers ask about
Overseas travel from India comes with a set of questions that a good agent answers on the website rather than on the phone. Visa requirements by country (visa on arrival, e-visa, embassy visa, processing time, documents), passport validity rules, travel insurance, and the documents needed for a group tour are the obvious ones. Two financial points matter more each year. Tour packages attract GST, generally at 5 percent without input tax credit on the package value, with other rates on commission-based services; the invoice should show it. Overseas tour packages also attract Tax Collected at Source under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, at rates that have changed in recent budgets and are applied in slabs, which travellers can claim against their income tax. Explain both plainly with a note that rates change and that the invoice will show the current ones, and confirm current rates with your CA before publishing numbers.
Neweb's travel preset includes a visa and documentation page template by region, a payment and taxes page with the GST and TCS explanation, and the privacy policy that collecting passport details requires. These pages also rank, because "TCS on foreign travel" and "Schengen visa documents from India" are searched by exactly the people about to book.
Group departures, pilgrimages and the seasonal calendar
Fixed group departures are the bread and butter of many agencies: Kashmir in May, Kerala in October, Europe in summer, Char Dham in the yatra season, Vaishno Devi and Tirupati year-round, Kailash Mansarovar when permitted. A group departure page lists the dates, seats left, price and the tour leader, with a seats-left counter updated from the dashboard. Pilgrimage packages have their own needs: darshan timings, registration requirements (such as the Char Dham registration), physical fitness notes and what to carry, and a Hindi or regional language version, since many pilgrims search in their own language.
Seasonality is also the content plan. A dated strip on the home page rotates through summer holiday packages, monsoon getaways, Diwali departures and New Year, and the newsletter included in the plan sends the season's packages to past travellers who opted in, which is the cheapest repeat business an agency gets.
Recognition, IATA and being found by destination
There is no mandatory licence for a travel agent in India, but there are credentials worth showing: Ministry of Tourism recognition as an approved travel agent or tour operator, IATA accreditation for air ticketing, membership of TAAI, IATO or ADTOI, and your GSTIN and company registration. The footer shows whichever apply. For a traveller choosing between two agents with similar packages, these and the Google reviews decide.
Ranking for destination searches is a matter of structure. Neweb builds a page per package, a page per destination that collects its packages, and "from city" variants for the departure cities you serve, each with TouristTrip and TravelAgency schema and real content, not duplicated paragraphs. The Google Business Profile is claimed, verified and synced, with the office address, hours and photos from recent tours. Reviews with photos from the trip, requested on WhatsApp after the return, build the profile that puts you ahead of the app for travellers who want a person.

Does a travel agent need a licence to have a website and sell packages in India?
There is no mandatory national licence for travel agents. Credentials that matter are Ministry of Tourism recognition as an approved travel agent or tour operator, IATA accreditation for air ticketing, and industry memberships such as TAAI or IATO, along with GST registration. Neweb shows whichever you hold in the footer. If you sell online you also fall under consumer protection rules, so publish clear booking and cancellation terms.
Should a travel agency publish package prices?
Yes, as starting prices per person on twin sharing with a validity date and clear inclusions and exclusions. Travellers compare packages on their phone and skip the agent who says "call for price". Published prices with honest exclusions bring enquiries that quote quickly and complain rarely.
How do enquiries work on the site?
A WhatsApp button on every package opens a chat with prompts for destination, travel dates, adults and children, budget range and departure city. The agent quotes from the message directly. A form alternative emails the office. Structured enquiries matter most in peak season when volume is high.
How much does a travel agency website cost on Neweb?
₹249 a month on the Starter plan, including the website, a free domain for the first year, hosting, SSL, Google Business Profile setup and sync, package and destination page templates, the visa and taxes pages, the newsletter and SEO. Agencies with several branches or that want online payment on package pages use the Growth plan at ₹1,299 a month.
How should the site handle GST and TCS on overseas tours?
Explain both plainly on a payment and taxes page: GST on tour packages (generally 5 percent without input credit on the package value) and TCS on overseas tour packages under the Liberalised Remittance Scheme, which applies in slabs and can be claimed against income tax. Rates have changed in recent budgets, so state that the invoice will show the current rates and confirm the numbers with your CA before publishing.
Can travellers pay an advance through the site?
Yes, by UPI on the booking page with a receipt generated for the traveller, or by bank transfer for larger international bookings. The Growth plan adds a Razorpay link on package pages for card payments. State the payment schedule and cancellation terms on the page.
Will my packages rank for "package from city" searches?
That is how the site is structured: a page per package, a page per destination and "from city" variants for your departure cities, each with TouristTrip schema and real content, plus a synced Google Business Profile with reviews. Destination pages typically begin ranking within a few months, and group departure pages rank in their season.
