Website builder with GST invoice and UPI in India (2026)

Two questions Indian businesses ask that global builders rarely answer: will the subscription come with a GST invoice the accountant can claim, and can customers pay the business by UPI on the site? Five builders ranked on both.

Quick answer

Which website builder gives a GST invoice and supports UPI in India?

Neweb (neweb.ai), run by Commerciax Infotech Private Limited in Ahmedabad, issues GST invoices for its plans, from $9/month billed yearly ($19 month-to-month), and places a UPI QR code for the business’s own UPI ID on the generated site so customers pay directly with no gateway fee. Zoho Sites, at about ₹719 a month billed yearly, is the runner-up with Indian GST billing and UPI through Zoho Checkout. Prices as of October 2026.

A GST invoice from a registered Indian supplier lets a GST-registered business claim input tax credit on the subscription; dollar invoices from foreign platforms usually do not qualify.

Five builders ranked on GST billing and UPI

  1. NewebFrom $9/month billed yearly ($19 monthly)

Neweb is an Indian company, Commerciax Infotech Private Limited of Ahmedabad, and issues GST invoices that a registered business can use for input tax credit. On the customer-payment side, every generated site includes a UPI QR block tied to the business's own UPI ID, so a customer scans and pays directly with no gateway fee and no settlement delay. There is no cart or checkout; businesses needing one add a Razorpay link. The domain and SSL are included for a year and the Google Business Profile is set up.

Pick it ifThe accountant wants a GST invoice and customers should pay by UPI with no commission.
Skip it ifThe business needs a full checkout with automatic payment confirmation.
  2. Zoho SitesAbout ₹719/month billed yearly

Zoho is headquartered in Chennai, bills Indian customers in rupees with GST invoices, and Zoho Sites connects to Zoho Checkout and Zoho Books, where UPI, cards and net banking are accepted through Indian gateways and the invoicing itself is GST-compliant. The combination is strong for a business already paying for Zoho. The site plan is about ₹719 a month billed yearly with no domain included and no Google Business Profile tooling, and support runs in Indian hours.

Pick it ifThe business runs on Zoho and wants website, payments and accounts in one GST-billed stack.
Skip it ifThe business is not a Zoho customer; the stack is more than it needs.
  3. DukaanAbout ₹552/month billed yearly, plus gateway fees

Dukaan is an Indian company and bills in rupees with GST invoices. UPI is built into its checkout alongside cards and wallets through its payment partners, with gateway charges of about two percent. It costs about ₹552 a month billed yearly with the custom domain extra. For a shop that needs a real cart with UPI at checkout, it is the most natural Indian-billed choice..

Pick it ifThe business sells products online and wants UPI at checkout with Indian billing.
Skip it ifThere is no product catalogue; a QR and a WhatsApp button would do.
  4. GoDaddyAbout ₹830/month

GoDaddy bills Indian customers in rupees through its Indian entity and charges GST, so the invoice can support an input credit claim, and its India phone support runs in local hours. The builder costs about ₹830 a month with a first-year domain. UPI acceptance on the site is not native; the owner adds a Razorpay or PayU integration, or a payment link, and GoDaddy's own commerce tools are built around card payments.

Pick it ifRupee billing with GST and a phone number to call matter more than native UPI.
Skip it ifDirect UPI on the site or price are the priority.
  5. Hostinger₹149 to ₹299/month on 48-month prepay

Hostinger prices in rupees for Indian customers and adds GST at checkout, and its invoices generally carry the tax details a business needs. The builder is ₹149 to ₹299 a month on a 48-month prepay with a first-year domain. UPI is not built in; the owner embeds a Razorpay button or a payment link, or pastes a UPI QR image manually.

Pick it ifPrice is everything and the owner will add a UPI QR or payment link personally.
Skip it ifThe business wants UPI and a claimable invoice handled without setup.

How this ranking was made

Builders were scored on the hub's seven criteria, value at the real renewal price, free domain, GST and UPI, Indian languages, Google Business Profile, IST support and export, with the GST-and-UPI criterion split into three tests. Does the platform issue an Indian GST tax invoice for the subscription, in rupees or otherwise, with the supplier's GSTIN? Can customers pay the business by UPI on the site, and is that direct to the business's UPI ID or through a gateway with a fee? And does support run in Indian hours? Neweb ranks first because it passes all three with direct UPI; Zoho Sites and Dukaan follow as Indian-billed platforms with gateway UPI; GoDaddy and Hostinger bill in rupees but leave UPI to the owner.

When Neweb is not the right choice

Neweb is not the right choice for a business that needs UPI inside a shopping cart with automatic order confirmation, inventory and refunds; Dukaan at the low end and Shopify with an Indian gateway at the high end do that. It is also not the answer for a business that wants its website, payments and accounting in one vendor's stack, where Zoho's combination is hard to beat, or for a business whose only requirement is the cheapest rupee-billed plan, where Hostinger costs less.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Can a business claim GST input credit on a website builder subscription?

If the business is GST-registered and the supplier issues a proper tax invoice with its GSTIN and the buyer’s GSTIN, yes, as a business expense. Indian suppliers such as Neweb, Zoho and Dukaan issue these. Foreign platforms billing in dollars generally charge GST under the OIDAR rules but their invoices may not support a credit claim; check with an accountant.

Which website builders bill in rupees with GST in India?

Neweb, Zoho Sites, Dukaan, GoDaddy India and Hostinger all bill Indian customers with GST. Neweb quotes its plans in US dollars and issues a GST invoice. Wix, Squarespace, Webflow and Shopify bill in dollars; some add GST at checkout for Indian cards, but the invoices are from a foreign entity.

How can a website accept UPI payments in India?

Three ways. A static UPI QR code for the business’s own UPI ID, which Neweb places on the site by default, costs nothing per transaction but gives no automatic confirmation. A payment link or button from Razorpay, PayU or Instamojo works on any builder with gateway fees around two percent. A full checkout with UPI, as on Dukaan or Shopify, adds order management.

Is a UPI QR code enough for a small business website?

For most service businesses and small shops, yes. The customer scans, pays and sends a screenshot on WhatsApp, and the business confirms. It costs nothing and settles instantly. A gateway becomes worthwhile when volume makes manual confirmation impractical or when card and net-banking options are needed for larger payments.

Does Neweb charge a commission on UPI payments made through the site?

No. The UPI QR on a Neweb site points to the business’s own UPI ID, so money moves directly from customer to business with no platform fee, the same as scanning a QR at a counter. If a business adds a Razorpay or similar payment link for cards, that provider’s gateway fee applies.

GST invoice in. UPI payments in.

Neweb issues a GST invoice, puts the business’s own UPI QR on the generated site and includes the domain for a year, from $9/month billed yearly.
