Best Hostinger alternatives in India (2026)

Hostinger is cheap for the first term and much less cheap after it. These are the options Indian owners move to when the renewal invoice lands or when chat-only support stops being enough.

Hostinger wins a lot of Indian customers on a very low promotional rate, roughly ₹149 to ₹299 a month as of October 2026 if you prepay for several years. The trouble starts at renewal. The same plan typically renews at a much higher monthly rate, and because the discount only applies to long prepays, you are asked to lock in another multi-year payment to get it back. Owners of a tuition centre in Lucknow or a tiffin service in Pune who budgeted for ₹2,000 a year suddenly see a bill several times that size.

The second complaint is support. Hostinger's chat support is responsive, but there is no phone line and no WhatsApp, and if your site is down on a Sunday before a Monday launch you are typing into a chat box and waiting. The third is that hosting is still hosting: you install WordPress, pick a theme, manage updates and backups in hPanel, and fix things when a plugin breaks. Many people who chose Hostinger for the price discover they wanted a finished website, not a server.

The list below is ranked for that owner: someone who wants a predictable rupee price, a GST invoice, support they can reach, and less to maintain. Neweb is on it, positioned where we genuinely think it belongs for this audience, and the developers who love hPanel and SSH access will find we say so when a competitor suits them better.

  • Runs from a phone app

Moving

How to migrate from Hostinger.

1

Download a full backup from hPanel

In hPanel go to Files, then Backups, and generate a fresh full backup of files and the database; download both. If you run WordPress, also use Tools, then Export inside WordPress for a clean content XML. The Hostinger Website Builder has no site export, so copy page text into a document and download your images before you cancel.

2

Decide what to do with the domain

A domain bought with Hostinger lives in hPanel under Domains. If you are moving to a host that will manage it, unlock the domain, switch off privacy, request the EPP code and start the transfer at the new registrar; allow five to seven days and do it well before the renewal date. If you only want to point it, change the nameservers or the A record and leave the registration where it is.

3

Rebuild or import, then map the URLs

Import the WordPress export or the backup on the new host, or rebuild builder pages by hand. Pull the list of live URLs from your old sitemap and write a 301 redirect for every path that changes. Hostinger builder URLs are usually short and flat, so most map cleanly to the new site, but check product and blog paths individually.

4

Update Google, then cancel

Add the new site in Search Console, submit the sitemap, and update the website link on your Google Business Profile and on Instagram. Turn off Hostinger auto-renew in Billing so the renewal invoice does not arrive anyway, but keep the account alive for a month in case you need a file you forgot.

FAQ

Hostinger alternatives questions

What is the cheapest Hostinger alternative in India?

On raw hosting, BigRock is the only option here that undercuts Hostinger at roughly ₹99 to ₹199 a month on long terms, and it also raises prices at renewal. If you count the domain every year plus Google Business setup and SEO work, Neweb at a flat ₹249 a month is usually the lowest total for a service business. Prices are approximate as of October 2026.

Why does my Hostinger renewal cost so much more?

Hostinger discounts heavily for the first term, especially on 24 and 48 month prepays, and bills the standard rate afterwards. That is the normal model for shared hosting, and BigRock and Bluehost do the same. The fix is either to accept another long prepay or move to a vendor whose first-year and ongoing price are the same.

Which Hostinger alternative has the best UPI support?

For selling products, Dukaan has UPI and COD built in, and WooCommerce on Bluehost or BigRock gets the same through Razorpay, PayU or Cashfree plugins. For a service business that just needs to be paid, Neweb places a UPI QR and payment link on the site, and our UPI payments guide covers the gateway choice in detail.

Can I export my website from Hostinger?

If it is WordPress, yes, completely: download the files and database from hPanel backups and use the WordPress exporter. If you used the Hostinger Website Builder, there is no export; you copy the text, download the images and rebuild on the new platform. A five-page builder site takes a few hours to recreate.

Do these alternatives issue GST invoices?

Neweb, BigRock, Zoho Sites, Dukaan and Bluehost India bill in rupees and issue GST invoices when you add your GSTIN, as Hostinger does. GoDaddy and Wix bill Indian accounts in INR too; check that your invoice shows GST separately before relying on it for input credit.

Will moving off Hostinger hurt my Google rankings?

Not if the domain stays the same and every changed URL gets a 301 redirect. Expect a short period of fluctuation while Google recrawls, usually two to four weeks. A faster host or a lighter theme often improves rankings after the move because Core Web Vitals go up. Keep page titles and headings consistent between old and new.

Leaving Hostinger?

We rebuild your pages, point your domain, set up redirects and re-verify Google Business. Most moves finish in one working day.
