GoDaddy India is easy to start with and hard to leave cheaply. The ₹99 first-year .in promo renews at roughly ₹999 or more, the website builder runs about ₹830 a month as of October 2026, and the checkout stacks upsells: email, privacy protection, SSL, backups, each on its own renewal cycle. A Lucknow tutor who bought a domain and a builder plan in a hurry can find the second-year bill is three times the first. Before renewing, run the name through a domain checker to see what other registrars charge for the same TLD.
To its credit, GoDaddy bills in INR, gives a GST invoice and has India phone support, which is more than several global builders offer. The gaps are elsewhere: the builder is limited once you want bookings, Hindi pages or anything beyond a brochure; UPI on a GoDaddy site needs a third-party gateway; and hosting performance for Indian visitors depends on which data centre your plan lands in. Test your current site with the website speed test before deciding whether hosting is part of the problem.
Because GoDaddy is really three products in one account, this list covers replacements for each piece. Neweb is placed second: it is the simplest way to get domain, hosting, site and Google Business on one flat rupee bill, but if you only want a cheaper registrar, BigRock or Hostinger is the direct swap.
